August 2020 Guest Artist: Flower Press + Canvas Art Workshop Kit

Class Details

This special workshop kit has two projects in one – a mini flower press AND all the goodies you need to create a stunning floral masterpiece.

First you will learn the process of pressing + preserving flowers with your very own wooden flower press. A curated collection of pre-pressed flowers will be included in this kit, but you are welcome to collect and press your own foraged blooms before moving to the next part of the workshop.

The second part of the workshop is creating a pressed flower canvas – we’re offering templates in a crescent moon and state of Texas shape (you will receive both so you can choose which one you want!)  You will have the freedom to arrange your dried flowers in any way you'd like to complete your canvas art piece.

Once you've completed your piece, you will have the know how to continue foraging and collecting flowers to preserve using your flower press!

Each workshop kit includes:

• Guest artist workshop info card

• Workshop booklet


• Access to a demo video

• Wood flower press (handmade by the artist)

• 8” x 8” blank canvas

• Crescent moon and Texas shape template 

• Small paint brush

• 2oz container of Mod Podge Satin

• 2oz bottle of acrylic paint

• Envelope of dried + pressed flowers (prepared specially for each kit by the artist)
