In this 2-hour workshop, you will learn how to sketch and paint some of your favorite houseplants. In the lush space of the Paper + Craft Pantry, there will be no shortage of plants for inspiration!
Following along with Tina from Brave Ceramics, we'll use the slab technique to build vases from scratch. Then, inlay textures and stamps to truly make your vase one-of-a-kind.
Learn how to create beautiful, hand-carved, block prints from wood. We will start by practicing woodcut techniques, and then everyone will create their own design on a block which can be used again and again. Finally we'll apply ink to print on art paper and afterwards we will print on fabric.
Learn to mix lip balm and the perfect body butter for your skin type that you can use year-round.
During this 2.5 hour beginner workshop, we’ll start by creating your one-of-a-kind piece by working on your cross stitch pattern/chart. For this particular workshop session, we will be stitching family portraits! After we’ve mapped out your pattern (you’ll be able to stitch up to four family members), we will then move on to an introduction to simple stitching techniques and get right to stitching on your hoop (while following your pattern/chart).
Kelly will begin this workshop by leading you through a warm up practice before moving on to letter drills. This is a great time for beginners to learn introductory calligraphy techniques and for someone more seasoned to brush up on their skills. The next portion of this workshop will go over the proper ways to use these specialty inks including colors, white and metallic inks. You will have the opportunity to play with these various inks while lettering on your own cards + stationery!
In this fun & engaging workshop you will be introduced to the world of weaving and learn all the skills you need to create beautiful woven wall hangings.
In this class, we’ll start small and create mini-sculptures with just a handful of special needles and some loose roving wool. What better subjects to model than our beloved pets, so bring photos of your furry friend from lots of different angles.
